It’s My Time to Shine – A Little About Me and the Road That Led Here

Hello

I thought it was about time I shared a little more about me, the heart behind Kallisae Arts. This creative journey didn’t start with paint or resin… it started with a life full of adventure, challenge, love, and the unshakable belief that it’s never too late to follow your passion.

For many years, I poured my heart into raising my son as a single mum from the age of 4½. I became a Scouts leader so I could share in his adventures — from soggy tent mornings to late-night campfire songs. Rugby quickly became a huge part of our lives too, bringing with it muddy weekends, lifelong friendships, and a brilliant community of parents and kids. We travelled, laughed, explored, and made the most of every moment together. Watching him grow into a kind, capable young man — and now seeing him graduate with a 2:1 in Marine Engineering — I honestly couldn’t be prouder. That chapter was filled with joy, sacrifice, strength, and so much love. And now… it’s my time to shine again ✨✨

Before Kallisae Arts, I ran a successful holiday lettings business here in the UK — at its peak, I was marketing over 100 properties and managing 26 of them. It was intense, but I loved it. The storytelling, the connection with people, the beauty of showcasing unique spaces — those same skills now breathe life into my art and my brand today.

Wanderlust has always been stitched into who I am. I’ve travelled far and wide — from the sun-soaked shores of Australia and Hawaii to the vibrant streets of Mexico, the Caribbean’s crystal-clear waters, and the charming corners of Europe. The sea has always felt like home to me and is my go-to place for peace and quiet reflection. I’m also a passionate sailor (let’s be honest — I’m at my happiest with the wind in my hair and a G&T in hand!). These days, I travel around the UK in my beloved motorhome, Nancy, and will be creating art from wherever I find myself — be it a quiet forest, a windswept coast, or a peaceful lake. Kallisae Arts goes where I go, and it feels like the most freeing thing I’ve ever done.

This next chapter is about freedom, creativity, connection, and doing what lights me up. If you’re someone who’s wondering if it’s too late, if the moment has passed — let me tell you, it hasn’t. You get to begin again. You get to choose joy.

Thanks for being here and sharing the ride with me - I hope you enjoy it as much as I do.

❤️ Wendy x
